The plot is well-guided by a slow-building backstory that builds on the core narrative with an intriguing design approach. It comes as a surprise when the suspense is introduced, as there's not much horror to the movie considering its genre. Despite it perhaps being lackluster with regards to its horror aspects, it does afford the viewer a fresh take on an underused plot theme in the genre that wraps it up nicely utilizing familiar stylistic nuances.
Let the atmospheric development unfold as it takes you on a journey through an unexpected turn of events. The acting and characters made the movie enjoyable despite the narrative lacking much explanation as it moves towards its climax. I would be up for a sequel that delves a bit deeper into the unknown blue of the story's apparent origins.
