It didn’t follow the book, I was bored, there wasn’t even a trigger warning at the beginning which I guess is fine since they watered down the scenes. Blake was not meant to play Lily and it shows. They need to re-do the whole movie. They didn’t fully capture what a woman goes through in a DV situation. They should’ve done better with such an important topic that needs awareness.

Boring and half of it didn’t make sense.

It’s was a knockoff of the original. The original left you scared because it showed a random attack happening to a couple. This movie felt like a lot of other horror movies where if you stay in a specific area/place everyone knows something bad will happen to you. They tried too hard to make it feel ever that it felt unnatural. Watching it, I didn’t feel like I could connect with the couple, because they didn’t feel like everyday people. The original left me feeling like, omg this can happen to anyone. This movie had moments where I thought “omg you are going to die because you’re so stupid”. Just wait to see it come out on Netflix.
