Pros:
-Good combat; I really enjoy the press turn system and the way that buffs/debuffs are AoE and they stack... Every RPG should have this
-Post apocalyptic lore that hooks you in; the lore builds off the past SMT games but it's not required to play those to "get" SMT 3
-Demons are fleshed out and unique; you'll def want them all (but you can only carry a finite amount)
-Optional end game content such as the Amala Labyrinth and certain bosses like the Black Frost
-First and only SMT game that features faction based endings similar to Fallout New Vegas
-Has Dante from Devil May Cry as a boss battle
Cons:
-1hr+ repetitive dungeons; you might wanna keep your battery charged if you're playing on Steam Deck or Switch
-Dungeons usually feature a puzzle gimmick that is hair-pulling type frustrating
-You'll need a guide to progress on the story and for activating certain boss battles (Amala is an optional dungeon that is required for 2 endings)
-Demon fusion is convoluted and requires constant fusion to keep up with new dungeons/bosses
-Most online guides request physical builds for the Demi-fiend but some bosses can deflect physical attacks (After Amala Network Revisited) and beginner guides fail to mention this
-Constant skill swapping, Magatama levelling, and looking up skills is essential for success in this game; don't know what Fog Breath is? Time to bust out Google and it's essential to do this every time you fuse demons
Game has many flaws from being ancient and the Remaster fixes 0 of these flaws rendering this game as pure as it can be
DO NOT BUY if you hate looking up stuff online
YES PLEASE BUY if you're a huge JRPG collector
