A really great film; it never gets old! Also, I appreciate seeing stories about other groups of people portrayed by actors of that group. It's both thrilling and bloody but gives a glimpse into an ancient civilization which I think for the most part was adequately portrayed although may not be completely historically accurate. The movie is also sad in some ways. Yes, the Mayans were blood thirsty and killed a lot of other Mayans. (Aren't we still doing that too?) However, when the movie is over you understand, if you didn't already, that their true enemy and ultimate demise came by boat from across the sea.
