I didn't think it could be as bad as people said it was, but then I watched it- it's actually worse. Horrible ableism and horrible story. I feel bad for Maddie Ziegler, who knew it was awful even during filming. But Sia, as usual, used her as a prop in an inappropriate way to send a message without thinking about how it actually portrayed her. Like in that one video with Shia Labeouf. I cannot believe she heard autistic people saying "Hey, actually, this is pretty bad and harmful" and she plugged her ears and ignored the reality we face for this ableist, hurtful and harmful nonsense.
