I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Though the work described was laborious and monotonous, and it came through in the writing, it held your attention and hope that around the corner, the crews' remains would be found. The interweaving of the helicopter crew's lives was well done. The actual extraction attempts and shoot downs were riveting. The ending was a surprise and a gift to the reader.
