I know I am an exception to the rest of the readers but I was disappointed in the book. I expected it to be more like a documentary rather than a highly fictionalized book about the trip. Maybe it was just the author’s writing style that put me off but I found it hard to finish the story. It was all about the boy and very little about the giraffes.
