In short, this is a touching and sad drama, it has cliches, but at the end I think it talks about sacrifice and love, genuine, giving love. If you're looking for a light story, this is not. But if you have pacience and won't mind crying, give it a chance. It has really good acting and character development.
I finished this is about 3 days and lost sleep, after a drama slump because all I was trying to watch was plain.
You don't need to read the following, but I'd like to share a bit more.
I've watched many, many dramas and one of my favorite trops is contract marriage or relationship. To be honest I don't ask for much, I just want to see an enjoyable and good romance and if possible a good written story. And after watching dramas for so long, I also skip the boring parts, or the annoying characters scenes. Having said that, I'm glad I finished this drama, it has really good actors, leads and the kid are really good, they carry this drama. The script is coherent and even if it has some characters so the leads have more of a miserable life, something that this dramas does with some of them, is to let us understand them a bit, they may not get redention, but you can see they're hurt people or that they don't know any better. But it seems to me that writters don't want you to like them, they're like that and no one is apologizing, I appreciate that from a drama, it rarely happens.
I definitely cried a lot, and felt for the characters, and I also got to see the sacrifice in love, I haven't thought about it in a while. Yes, this is a drama were the woman has a miserable life and it gets better when she meets the male lead, but then no one wants them together, it is that, but then the love story is touching and sad and you can't help but cry. Really good acting.
Four stars because I skipped some parts and honestly, not all the misery was necessary. But also 4 stars because I felt for the characters and cried a lot.
