The acting talent was there but couldn't save this otherwise threadbare series. For one thing, the first two episodes follow the currently popular device of swapping indiscriminately between flashback and current actions, then changes to normal linear storytelling for the second half of the series. There are massive plot points that are either generally glossed over or go totally unnoted until the last minutes of the programme. The characterisation is thin as a sheet, but could easily have had deeper exploration if less screen time had been spent on mopey people moping about or conversations about being pregnant/not being pregnant. I noted that the release date was 2020, which probably means this was rushed out half baked instead of doing it properly.
