I have read and enjoyed Silva's Allon series - until this book. Written in a overly cute manner, the basic plot was still enough to keep my interest thorough most of the book. Until Silva allowed his politics - in all of its overly simplified, overly generalized characterizations - to intrude. Silva, along with his echo-chamber uninformed fellow liberals - apparently believes that half of the US population is a bunch of uneducated racist nationalists (and white as well - although that clearly is numerically impossible). As the book is fiction, his perceptions fit nicely within the genre, but his simplified misunderstanding of the divisions in US politics are a perfect illustration of the lack of understanding (or even desire to understand) of most liberals.
Their positions so weak and unsupported they refuse to defend them (because they couldn't) and prefer to hide behind their "woke" silencing. i won't read another Silva book and hope he rots somewhere as he has done a huge disservice to civilized discourse.
