This review section shows how regressive Indian society is. "Why do they need to add LGBT into everything" So what? It was added. The premise being added didn't detract anything from the storyline and it made the movie unique. I bet no one would be saying anything if she was avenging her male lover. I guess people can't stomach a strong female lead either, especially when she doesn't subvert to societal expectations. I loved the fact that there was no over the top "masala" and the story felt quite down to earth and realistic. Personally, this movie is one of the first in a long time that has kept me on the edge of my seat in a long time. Kudos to the director and the rest of the team.
