I haven’t even finished it yet and I can already see that my chapter 3 suspicions are correct. I love a good spoiler so I’m going to finish the book, but so far it’s terrible. Copy/paste/AI, oh my! It’s a slightly interesting idea completely watered down. Nothing is expanded upon enough to fully “grab you”. The worst of it is the repetition. I know it’s mentioned over and over but it’s because it’s SO bad. “Blue, blue eyes”. And they’re always drinking - coffee, beer, water, wine, more beer. Therefore, there is SO much swigging, sipping, drinking…the detail around consuming a beverage happens every 2-3 pages it seems. Not really thrilling or twisty; do not recommend.
