To start with there are numerous factual errors in the movie. Nicole Kidman's character travels to Tehran, Iran, and the depiction of Tehran is entirely inaccurate. Iranian men are portrayed as Arabs, and when they go sightseeing, there are palm trees and mountains that are unlike Tehran. Producers clearly had no idea how Persia looked liked back in the days. They mixed it up.
