Ah Rin

I believe every Vijay fan out there would have loved it to bits but as a neutral, I'm on the fence for this movie. I still rate Thuppaki as his best movie to date and still untouchable as his best work in the cinema industry. Here is to dissect the movie: Pros: Vijay leads an exciting group of cast list for starts. VJS and Vijay's introduction scene is fantastic as always. Anirudh has done well for the bgm and music/songs. Both Vj's perform their role admirable well with VJS probably having the slight edge with his gutsy character. Kabbadi scene was superb as well. Cons: Storyline is a bit draggy and slow but picks up pace after the interval. I feel there are too many unwanted scenes and expansion in the story that could have been steered better to include the other characters involvement in the movie. Malavikka was wasted without a memorable role to play. The lorry scene was not needed, the meeting of both VJ's should have been much earlier rather than the last 20minutes before movie ends and director has left too many unanswered questions such as why he became an alcoholic in the 1st place. Overall, it was an entertainer for ponggal but I was expecting more based on the hype of the teaser.
