I think the octopus would've made a better film than the narrator. I enjoyed learning about the intelligent cephalopod and witnessing its stunning beauty. But, another white man stealing the knowledge of Indigenous tribes showed early on in the film and then claiming them for his own so he could share with the world. Yes, he was privileged enough to have the time and money for the equipment that allowed him to share this story with the rest of the world, but it is by far not the first. Would have loved it if the star of the film was not a white man 'discovering' how intelligent this beautiful creature is.
