This is a good rendition of 47 ronin, not Keanu Reeves' but the original legend. If you know the story then the plot is predictable and it becomes tedious waiting for the major events. However I found myself invested in the charaters more than the story. There is good coming of age for some, and retribution for others. Suffice to say, you can tell they went for cliche pans and a mish mash of different historical context. It is good enough to hook you in the beginning and loses you till the build up of the last fight. I enjoyed it enough to finish it. It was more about the story than the fantasy of or historical accuracy of the era/setting; loyalty, honor, and respect.

As expected the animation does not disappoint, top tear as always. However my qualm with it is it was basically a recap of the last arc and a introduction of the new arc. That saud they set it beautiful building anticipation for the season premier. It's going to be an epic season. New characters and building on some older ones. I'd say I disappointed with the cliff hanger because now you have to wait for the drop of the new season
