I have never been annoyed at finishing a book before.
The author will spend 3 pages to tell you about someone walking down the street, that doesn't have anything to do with the story, and yet, when you get to the point where you think it might get good, it lacks so much detail you can't even picture what is happening.
I kept thinking "this will be worth it in the end" and then surprise, it was not.
This book took me far too long to finish because I had to reread so many paragraphs. She goes off on tangents, and by the time they are done, you forgot what the point was.
Donna Tartt needs to take her ADHD meds before she writes another book.
Save your time, as you will be left with more questions than answers at the end of this.
