Some of the reviews I read say they haven't read the other books in the series. You should read them and especially the last novella Standing By The Wall. When I read Standing By The Wall I was left thinking, "What the hell is this? Nothing happened." But after reading The Secret Hours, it all clicked. Some characters have no names, some have different names, and so if you haven't read the other books, you wouldn't know who's who. I really hope this one gets to be produced for TV as well. It's a cracker.
