After watching Sikandar, I’d say it’s a decent film but falls short of expectations. With A.R. Murugadoss at the helm, known for crafting layered narratives like Ghajini, I was hoping for a gripping story and nuanced performances. However, while the star cast was decent, the film didn’t fully capitalize on its potential. Salman Khan delivers his usual mass-appeal performance, but the film struggles to balance Murugadoss' deeper storytelling style with commercial elements. Sharman Joshi was average, and Rashmika Mandanna had a surprisingly short role. Kajal Agrawal, a talented actress, did a commendable job and stood out in her scenes. The detailing in certain moments added some depth, but the overall execution lacked the impact one would expect. One scene that stood out, albeit unintentionally, was the death of the minister’s son, which felt oddly humorous rather than impactful. The dialogues were quite average, and overall, the film felt stuck between being a full-blown mass entertainer and a well-layered thriller. It doesn’t entirely succeed in either direction. Final Verdict: 2.5/5 – A decent one-time watch, but it neither delivers full-fledged mass appeal nor Murugadoss’ signature depth.
