I honestly think the mother did it, possibly the girl was wsnting more out of life than studying… wanted to make friends and have a life she was about to be 13 after all and the parents didn’t want to lose control or the mom at least so maybe she took her out to the country house and killed her I mean after all the twine was found in the bathroom of the home
