Read 5 other Tana French books & loved them. Hated this one. Alhough the 4 girls had such a binding relationship, they lacked honest & sincere friendship. Their loyalty was misguided. & immature, leading to a young mans unnecessary death. It involved bad behavior with all participants of both private boys & girls schools. Becca was not punished ??? I believe Selena & Chis cared about each other, but couldn't because they had to play their respective, group's game. Selena was not directed to counseling, which she needed or Holly was going to manipulate a pathway for that to happen? If this is what private boarding schools are like, I am so glad to have gone to a public one. The seesaw of past & present was confusing.
