I was really enjoying this series, and I wasn't that far into it, when the plot became filthy. If Madam CJ Walker's daughter used to entertain people who were queer at her house in Harlem, then include that in the series. However, why did the writers need to sully such an important story with their nastiness. To imply that the character was married to a man but had a gay relationship with some fictional character is completely unnecessary to the plot. Hollywood needs to stop spreading its filth and stick to realistic storylines, especially when it concerns realistic people.
