I watched the first two episodes, maybe a bit more. I didn't see the need to watch any more. A sad young woman dates white men who disrespect her. Her ex won't even speak with her anymore. She has an encounter after which she tells a friend she has the "wildest sex" of her life. He beats her bottom and makes her call him "Sir", then rolls over taking all the covers, as she lies next him saying, quietly, "I didn't need to be warm".
Enough of this kind of rubbish. If you want to know what happened during slavery, watch Twelve Years a Slave. You should be able to see the parallels easily.
Another thing, she bursts into her grandparents' home, charges up the stairs demanding to have a bath, then reappears wearing a Playboy bunny costume. Is this how we treat the elders now??? Really???
