I wanted to like this movie because I’m a fan of some of Adam Sandler’s films, but for me this was both confusing and irritating. The constant noise and cast talking over each other left me confused as to what’s supposed to be happening. The constant Jewish references was also unnecessary. (We all know Adam’s Jewish!) I love a good heist/crime film but I’m glad I didn’t waste my money watching this in the cinema. Adam, stick to comedy. LaKeith Stanfield however, is an underrated actor.

I watched a documentary on Netflix recently about a place for “wayward teens” so this series intrigued me. I found myself, however, skipping the parts with the queer couple as I just didn’t see the point, they added nothing to the storyline? (Not a h*m*phobe btw) The parts about the school were interesting and tied in with the docu I watched. The characters though had no chemistry and the script seemed forced at times. An ok show but probably wouldn’t watch again.

Boring, unrelatable, unlikeable characters who sound like they’re ad-libbing their lines. I wouldn’t have guessed the main character was half Asian? More Hispanic? The deaths are on par for the FD franchise though but were too long in between. The character’s dialogue just felt dragged out. I wish they’d kept it in the 50’s, the actors in the beginning were the best part. Give it a miss if you can, just rewatch the others.
