Most of this album is a lush dream to me. This was a favorite back in my 20’s.
I appreciate the way the “orchestra” is still present at this point. Face the Music, Waterfall, Strange Magic and One Summer Dream are more on the sensual side. Down Home Town is the hoedown type, which ordinarily I don’t like, but I like it here, and Poker, reminds of the ELO days to come, of which I am not fond.
This album transports me back to my 20’s, which is good, but also has a timeless quality that most music from the 70’s does not have.
