In the cartoon Sokka was sexist and humorous, in the movie I found that Sokka didn’t have any of these traits and was more serious. Aang on the other hand was more childlike like in the cartoon, in the movie he accepts being the avatar pretty quick and comes off more depressive. Katara seems to struggle with bending in the beginning and then all of suddenly gets good at bending at her own convenience. The movie over explained everything and the pacing was off. I also didn’t like how Bumi was portrayed almost like an enemy of Aang. Mai doesn’t have her careless vibe and Azula isn’t as intimidating. Every episode it jumped from different scenes and scenes were placed together that didn’t really go together. This ended up making the overall movie confusing to watch.
