I’m a die hard fan. Playing since game one. Anticipate every single game drop no matter what. Even enjoyed BL3 (sure the writing sucked but the game play was amazing!) still hop on and run chaos chambers in wonderlands all the time.. so I was sooo ready for this to drop. It’s good. Just good. I was excited about the new vault hunters and open world concept. They did that well, however the lack of mini map is a no go for me after it was so well done in 3 (it made it so easy to traverse! And I’m now finding this new HUGE world very difficult to get around even with echos line which fades quickly) I’m also bummed to see they also missed the opportunity to bring back unique drop weapons from bosses. That was one of the most beautiful things in 2! Now everything just feels so very randomized like nothing is special. Lady finger anyone? What’s in the box????!!! Finding random red text Easter egg weapons around the world made borderlands great and special! I feel like that little bit of magic was lost a while back. When I went into this game I had that feeling at first like maybe.. just maybe they had done it.. but was was left disappointed. It’s a good game.. not great.. but good. Also.. frame rate drops exponentially after a few hours of play time and I have to force close it on my Xbox and reload the game.. missing FOV slider (which I understand they’re working on thank goodness!) and ALL photos in inventory are currently not appearing. (And the inventory system in general is just a mess. I HATE it compared to previous systems.) Long but honest. Good not great. Still worth it if you love borderlands as much as I do! Lol
