I had high hopes for this movie but it fell flat. Lee’s colorism tradition is a staple in almost all of his films. Not one dark skin actress except for the police detective with a minimal role and her character was just mid at best. I’m so tired of this. There are so many gorgeous chocolate women that could’ve been in this film. The plot had so many holes in it. Denzil looked tired of acting and just needed to fulfill the obligation. Jeffry W was amazing and the only thing that kept me watching until the end. ASAP did okay but not sure of how much of it was acting 🎭 or him just playing himself. Such a disappointment. Not what I expected. I’m a longtime Lee movie fan but this one did not meet the standards of his predecessors.
