A very good read which for me was an eye opener. I very much enjoyed it although it dealt with a difficult topic: slavery. Multi generational, dealing with successive generations and characters, all interconnected. I got a bit lost at times but that was more my fault I think thank tu book's! Recommended.

A drama with some humour, giving insight into modern day Turkey (not so modern at times), was like reading a really enthralling novel, layers of ideas and stories. Characters were great, with not so nice characters too, but with growing empathy for them. The lead actress very very good.
