Love can get ugly, but what are the good parts if you don’t have some ugly to make you appreciate the good even more.
This book follows Tate’s love life with her brothers friend, Miles Acher. Tate lives with her brother and Miles is her next door neighbor. After falling for each other, Miles discloses that he “can’t” love, or even love her. Trying to get as much as she can, Miles and her settle for an agreement of just casual sex, with two rules (Miles made) “ don’t ask about the past. And. Don’t expect a future”. They obviously can’t keep to the only casual. Later in the book we find out why Miles thinks he can’t love.
I find this book very interesting because it explores how Tate almost has no self-respect sometimes because she loves Miles so much. And how Miles is so haunted by his past that he keeps letting her go. I like the message of the book that sometimes the Ugly part of Love is worth all of it. This book will take you for a roller coaster of emotions, sadness, anger, happiness, and Love. I truly loved it. I think everyone should read it.
Colleen Hoover is truly a genius.
