this is a comedy with no jokes and a show with no performers. obviously it’s not going to be the office but “the office” and “parks and rec” worked because they had Steve Carrell and Amy Poehler. they were star comedic performers. i keep watching and waiting for the star but apparently they forgot to cast one. the “straight man” (think jim and pam) are the stars instead of a michael scott character, so it’s just a lot of uninteresting dialogue. we’re not invested in these boring characters or their boring love lives. i took a nap.

if the whole show was about nicky it would be amazing, but the male characters are too cringey to function
