A fun, action packed, sweet movie that is appropriate and fun. There is a lot of fighting and blood, though the fight scenes are artfully done and excellent character development during the fight scenes which adds to the immersive experience of the movie. Wonderful metaphors regarding starting over, trying to be the best version of yourself, “going after what you love,” poetic, and thoughtful; also, excellent portrayal of integration of all aspects of yourself, healing, not running from your past, owning who you are, and being loved authentically via opening up and being vulnerable.
I went with my teenage son, trying to get as much time in with him while possible. We both enjoyed the movie. In fact, the above review incorporates much of his own thoughts about the movie.
I highly recommend this movie. Would enjoy watching it again.
