(This is a no-spoiler review.) The symbolism in this movie is so good! I enjoyed every minute of it. It was masterfully laid out and followed the writer's rule of "show, don't tell." If you want to watch a movie without thinking, you can just go ahead and skip it to watch another Fast and Furious. If you want to be enthralled with a story of deep purpose and meaning, this is the one for you! The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes was created for readers.

That was rough. Very little character building, flat acting besides Dr. Fate and a pretty bland story that resulted in me not really feel anything while watching. I had very little reason to root for anyone.

I was on board with the show and enjoyed it until episode 5. They should have just created a whole new fictional world rather than putting Tolkien’s in a blender using a quarter of what he wrote and then creating their own story and lore. I didn’t mind the changes they made to fit the timeline in and make certain things work, but in episode 5 they completely recreate and develop the very use of mithril or the ability for elves to even live. Not to mention the fact that at the end of episode 4 they say “we’re going to war!” And in episode 5 nothing actually happens and it ends with them finally leaving. Yeah going to take a break from the show after this episode, might watch the rest when I feel like suffering some more. They did earn this 1 star because the show does look pretty and is visually great, but on the inside, it is sad and hollow.
