The main character is supposed to a rich medical doctor NRI who is able to come up with explanations the actual historian based on maratha history can't. The character of Ravi infuriates me. This is an athletic man who does mountain climbing as a hobby and struggles, and I mean STRUGGLES in a fight with a limping 70 year old. He's supposed to be a part of a GROUP of people protecting some treasure yet he's the only one doing the protecting ??? The actor's acting was extremely shoddy. Ravi is told his parent's death is a conspiracy and cut to a deadpan delivery of "oh..," ??? His brother is a much more tolerable character and the actor did a decent job. However he's supposed to a tech geek but he's literally just googling everything??? The main girl's character was genuinely unnecessary after the first half of the series. I can't remember anything about her beyond her fighting. The second villain has interesting motives but how , in the name of god , is he supposed to use the tonnes of gold he's after. He's a 50yr old governor. Wouldn't anyone be suspicious???? The police genuinely left their brains at home. They arrest a man based on circumstancial evidence and get angry when they're asked for a post mortem, mo and motive. I initially thought they're corrupt but no. They are that stupid. They find tonnes of gold hidden in a temple and a dead governor with two suspects but the story of a treasure hunt too far fetched. And fun fact , their department is called the intelligence dept. The main villain is a historian with a mansion the size of mountain because why not. This man is able to get away with killing a high court judge and many, many other people because why not. Spends his whole life to be a hater over some nonsense that's 300 years old because why not. This is the only man with a kind of functional brain the story so it's just that much more embarassing to be bested by Ravi , the negative IQ doctor. Overall, all the characters are extremely stupid and come to the most basic conclusion ( like oooh the ashok stumbha is the clue for unity in the empty chamber while my family and I are screaming the answer at the screen) like it's so clever. They're trying hard to be indiana jones but it's lame considering they're beefing over 300 year old conflict. They could just hand over the treasure to museums and the government but no they just have to act dramatic. Everything is spelled out like the show's for 12 year olds. Their are no hidden hints or anything so that we could try to solve the mystery. Most times you'll be frustrated cause you'll reach the answer first. The only interesting character was the chor bazar archeologist. He would be a much more interesting protagonist with much much stronger motives. His storyline is very compelling but the end was predictable. The only saving grace of this series was the place they gave money to instead of script writing - the cinematography. Each shot , costume and set was extremely beautiful and artist. Little details made everything feel very lived in and realistic. The only thing this show made me ponder is HOW DOES A DOCTOR IN HIS TWENTIES BE THIS FREE ?????
