The Acolyte might just be potentially the worst "Starwars" movie or streaming series ever. For 2 episodes, the heroes trooper around through dull, dingy sets, pretending to be serious while supposedly trying to track down a twin of a failed Jedi knight. Is Kathleen Kennedy determined to kill this valuable franchise? The plot is amateurish. The dialog is wooden - that seems to suit the wooden actors. The plot gives one no reason to care about any of this. The biggest sin is the failure of the production is it gives no reason for the audience to care. What's the hook in the narrative. Why should anybody continue to watch this story. So far, any comparison with true quality series like "Andor" is utterly ludicrous. Bob Iger needs to fire everybody, including Kathleen Kennedy, involved with the giant waste of money. I'm seriously considering canceling my subscription.
