it isn't drama filled like grey's anatomy or chicago med which is SUPER refreshing. it deals with actual cases that every day people go through and its heartwarming to see a show that finally brings up 'uncomfortable' situations. teenage abortions, medical ethics, morality vs. law, sexual trafficking, handling autism in the medical field, miscarriages, dementia, loss of a child, STDs, transgender patients, discrimination against ethnic medical staff, drug use, homelessness, the list goes on. its not another "woke agenda", its REAL LIFE. people actually experience these things and i personally feel like this show does an amazing job at handling these topics.
if you want a fictional medical story that covers the same 10 things that have been normalized by media and don't make closed minded people uncomfortable, theres plenty of shows for that. but not this one- this one is special.
