Good character development and stayed true to the book.

Good story. Sad but c’est la vie. Very nice to see the culture is correctly depicted.

Spoiler alert. Horrible ending, the script is bad. Victims and the community need closure and the teenage son decided for himself to protect his family, and committed murder instead. It’s so bad I just want to scream

Great movie. As an adult I appreciate the acting and the vivid emotions displayed of this live action version. I cried at the end seeing Ariel connect with her father. The cast was on point with their roles, the photography and CGI of the sea was amazing.
