Love the lgbtq+ rep and it wasn’t their whole personality, and it help show questioning kids or adults that being gay isn’t just the stereotypes, the music is amazing and i can listen to the songs for days. all the characters have great personalities and they have flaws too like real people. It gets into some sad topics but are great to learn about, like Julie dealing with her moms death and stops playing music but then coming back with music when she gets more help with the boys, or with Alex and his struggles with being gay, Reggie and his parents fighting all the time while he was alive, and Luke running away and dealing with the grief. Also has a poc lead and she isn’t stereotypical either, and she’s just so lovable. When coming into watching this i was nervous it was going to be another cringy netflix show, but it was really good and made me cry, which can be very hard, and i love all of the characters. I hope there’s a season two soon.
