(wrote this by request of my friend since i wrote one for tangerine) probably would've been higher if i didn't read it for school.
it's not bad, like the message, like the action, and it actually did something for the plot (my standards were severely lowered by tangerine). i actually wanted to keep reading, which was honestly kinda annoying because i forgot to annotate for around 30 pages. the themes were well-done, character development was great too. but the descriptions were in such wrong placessss. like he'll use 50 different adjective to say clarisse is white, but i had to search up what a blue steel shave and a beetle was. there are some sections that just feel like a fever dream, and that's probably intentional, but ray bradbury isn't oscar wilde so i don't like it. appreciated the "fuck ai" message though, same dude same.
beatty yaps a lot (he's just like me guys) but i love him. granger reminds me of ferox from atyd i'm sorry, and clarisse was the only other character i liked. montag was bearable ig, though he was also pretty stupid.
all in all i will probably never read this again for my own enjoyment. of my own free will? maybe, because i tend to torture myself like that.
