Deadloch is a comedic series that lampoons just about everything relevant or sacred in society today. The character portrayals are superbly drawn, We needed to ad the CC in order to understand the dialogue at times which was not slow paced and heavily Tasmanian accented. The one-liners flew fast and furious. What amazes me is that I have yet to read a review that extolls the twisted plot line of gender reversals (not trans) but gender roles expected from each gender. I roared when the men in the town took off in a bus to protect themselves from the murderous wormen. Talk about double entendre!! Everything societal and political gets turned on its head in this not to be missed series. I await, hopefully a second season although given how much of cultural mores were harpooned in this season 1, what is there left for season 2? Much I am sure.
