The low audience ratings are perplexing- are people disappointed by not having a side to root for? The audience is forced to occupy an emotionally detached perspective, aligning with the same detachment that journalists and war photographers must maintain to witness and record the atrocities we humans (not Americans, Rwandan, not red, not blue) seem compelled to commit (over and over and over). You will fill in the blanks- despite the intentional blur of the “sides”. Dystopian themes are becoming commonplace, as our reality plunges into a dystopian reality. It’s not going to be pretty, witnesses (journalists) are dying, so that we, the ones who stay in denial about our own culpability, can read the headlines and wave flags. It’s a good film. Worthwhile.

This should be shown in High School- it’s a great history lesson. As a person who bought her first house just as the No Doc loans rolled out (“just make up a job,” my realtor said), it’s a highly entertaining look at mostly white men with Blackberries as they profit from the poor fools who can’t read the small print )as regulators look the other way).

This comedy sci fi utopian/dystopian film was a treat. The negative reviews are a surprise. It’s a unique, punchy, witty film!!! Great casting and acting- and really cool big to small production value. It’s excellent.

This movie is a sleeping GIANT. Brilliantly conceived and very well acted. Micro budget gold. Horror? Comedy? ? Repo Man vibe, great pacing (holy cow that monster), so many details I missed the first time. If you enjoyed Paradox Lost, you’ll love this. The booby traps in the house are outrageously amusing, a farmers house trying to kill a podcaster- I mean, this film deserves a much higher rating. Watch it, let me know what you think.

A novel film. Very 2-D, with great sound (oh, the crunching). Well cast. Great dog actors. Lighting, sets, and wardrobe were competitively drab; with lots of short person perspective. Not very subtle. Toxic masculinity is portrayed in a cartoon-like way. Maybe the cultural appropriation includes a Kabuki vibe? Worth watching, but left me with a heavy heart.

A lovely film. Well written, well shot, and well cast. Watch it, let your reluctance wilt, see and appreciate the lives that do not have your privilege. Thank you to the universe that this was made🙏. Bravo.

What a wonderful, perplexing movie. The actors are brilliant, the plot winds and unwinds, and then winds again. It’s…. Worth watching. Someone will write a thesis about this one.
