If you don’t watch the regular Formula 1 season, you’ll enjoy this series. If you are an avid F1 fan, this series might frustrate you a bit. Netflix has a strange habit of following the wrong story at whatever race they choose to feature during each episode. A good example is Episode 4. This episode features the Russian GP and Netflix chose to follow Nikita Mazepin, the Russian driver, instead of the extremely dramatic race where Lando Norris came within a lap or two of winning his first race (he didn’t win because he chose to stay out on the track with racing slicks while it was raining so he wouldn’t give up the lead. Never the less he was unable to keep his car on the track and struggled for the last couple laps, giving up the win). Instead we got to follow Mazepin run around the back of the pack. There is some bad editing in this series as well. Example: the radar screen they show during the rain storm at the Russian GP has Belgian cities listed all over it because it was a shot from the Spa race. Many dramatic races and stories are overlooked and I can’t really figure out why they choose to do that. It’s worth watching but a dedicated F1 fan may be more irritated than entertained .
