SPOILERS I've been a devoted fan of the FNaF series since the first game. Over the years, I've delved deep into the lore, watched game theory, Dawko, Markiplier, uncovering its hidden secrets, and grew up with the series, developing a profound love for it. However, it's disappointing to witness the recent downturn in quality. The release of Security Breach was plagued with bugs, lacking the scare factor, and muddling the lore and story. The gameplay also left much to be desired. While the DLC showed promise, it still fell short of being amazing. Anticipation had been building for nine long years for the FNaF film, but it ended up being merely okay at best. This left me feeling quite disappointed. While I appreciated the concept of a FNaF movie and enjoyed watching it, the execution fell flat. The storytelling was confusing and disjointed, and the acting felt mid at best in my opinion. It felt like Mike and Vannesa’s friendly relationship was forced and rushed because of her being William’s daughter and also connecting that William killed Mike’s younger brother Garret. The animatronics failed to evoke any real fear, even building a makeshift fort and hanging out with Mike, Vanessa, and Abby. What I did like though is how Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy looked, and also all of the easter eggs. Overall, I can't help but feel disappointed with the film. While Scott Cawthon stated that it was made for the fans, it came across as more geared toward kids and those who loved Security Breach’s tone. I hold out hope that the second film will improve, but I'm not overly optimistic. It's really sad to witness a beloved franchise being ruined in pursuit of a younger audience and what feels like profit.
