A true masterpiece! It captivates the viewer’s heart with its convincing story about bravery, love, betrayal, heroism, honour… It leaves the viewer with deeply felt emotions that last for days. It is in the ranks of some of the historical masterpieces of the 20th Century, like ‘Gone with the wind’ or ‘Dr Zhivago’.

One of the best TV series I've seen in years! It opens so many questions about life, relationships, honesty, love, and offers some possible answers in a very intelligent way. Although deeply serious, it is also entertaining and at times utterly funny. The plot, story, characters, acting and directing - all perfect. Some scenes are so emotionally charged that fill the viewer's eyes with tears, whether from sadness or happiness. I've only watched it once, but I see already I'm going to watch it few more times.
