Good but not great. I found the idea of venturing back into the world of Smiley et al to be appealing. However I found that the characters seemed to be acting somewhat anachronistically. I feel that the author has tried to put modern thought processes into characters that operated in a different time. It’s a good story all the same ,if rather rushed at the end but then so are some of Le Carries works so he’s following the family tradition.
