It had all the elements of being a good suspense movie or horror film. It had good actors, and decent plot lines. But the pacing ruined the first half, and the ending ruined the rest. There's no suspense or horror in repeating the same time frame 4 times from different perspectives. Most of that was character building that didn't have a payoff. The villain was lack luster, there was no lingering fear at the end of the movie, and the final scene was more comedic than anything. If I go to a film advertised as a horror movie and the audience spends multiple moments laughing, its a failure for the genre in my book. Was not paced or toned at all like the trailer, and while I left the theater thinking "Some of that was messed up" it still felt like a bait and switch from what was advertised.
