I love this series. There are so few on broadcast TV that I even like, let alone, love. This one. The X-files. Salem. Get the idea? )) I loved Turn, too, though. ;) But, this show has great set designs, production value, and I think the producers/directors did a great job of hiring mostly unknowns for the lead parts.

I. Love. It. The acting, the score, the production value, the direction. It's funny, emotional, exciting, and real. I watched the 1956 movie about the same operation called, "The Man Who Never Was," and if possible, I would suggest you do the same, too. It will make this movie from Netflix, more understanding and poignant. It's a true story about how the allies used the art of deception against the Nazi's setting up the beginning of the end of WW2 when Patton and Monty invaded Sicily, Italy, 1 year before D-Day.

A great early horror/science fiction film. The production value and set pieces were all impressive for an early 50's film. But, what really made this movie so charming, was the direction. The actors don't seem like they're acting. It feels so natural to watch them converse and banter. And, the added romantic touch between the lead male and females actors, was a nice touch to off-set the scary monster. This is a classic in so many ways.
