Huge disappointment from my perspective. Here I was expecting to see the real Mandarin getting retribution from his Iron Man version, just to see him in another movie in a little bit better version. Each of those ten rings had a unique power, and that wasn't explored. I think the producers missed a huge chance to reinvent fighting to a new level and went with something easy.
As far as the rest the movie, it was ok trying to show how this regular guy Shang Chi became to be, but the comedy kinda killed it. Because it worked one or two movies, it doesn't mean the same recipe will work on all. Besides, it makes it boring seeing the same recipe on a different character.
Finally, I didn't have the WOW spark watching this movie in comparison with other Marvel movies. Idk if it was covid, budget, or decision making, but this movie didn't meet my expectations with Mandarin. I was not inspired with fear seeing this guy, I didn't feel he was a threat, and that's what's bothering me the most. Not a real villain.
