Lazy Samurai

Almost unwatchable. In fact, I won’t be watching it.

Ruined by the use of Chinese cast members in major roles. Their accents are so obvious. There were and are plenty of great Japanese actors who should have been in those roles. Typical American cultural deafness.

More 3.5 than 4 stars. A good show but not great. Enjoyable without being compelling. Performances are solid and script is fine. Will watch it again if they make another season.

Compelling, moving, disturbing.

‘Disappointing’ is probably the best description for this show. Although it has a good cast and an expensive looking production, the plot, script, and direction are weak. Some of the dialogue is just downright awful.
