I found that the novel was slow and that they were so focused on capturing the "feelings" that they did not have a strong enough plot. Everything in the novel went by without anything actually happening the drawing though made it slightly more entertaining really just added another layer of his thoughts but we never actually heard his story. I would not recommend this book as a pleasure read more of a lesson in discrimination because that is really the only thing that happened throughout the entirety of the book.
